Brandon & Sarah ~ ENGAGED!

What an amazing session!  The weather was great, the sun gave us a beautiful warm glow, and Brandon and Sarah were so laid back and up for anything.  The day was perfect and the photos were so fun.

We can’t wait for your big day!

Dave + Amber – ENGAGED!!! ~ Milwaukee Engagement Session

Today we ventured out to Milwaukee for an engagement session with Dave and Amber.  They are such a fun and classic couple.  Amber, despite not feeling too comfortable in front of the camera, was willing to try things that were out of her comfort zone.  I love that!  Getting a little out of your element allows for everyone to enjoy themselves and the end result is always worth it!  Dan and I are looking forward to your wedding!

Blake + Krystie – ENGAGED!

Right before Christmas, Dan and I did an engagement session in Milwaukee with Blake and Krystie.  They are planning their Milwaukee wedding from the east coast, so having the chance to meet them for more than a phone conversation, was so much fun.  Doing a session in December, in the evening, with a sweet couple, was a great way to start the holiday season.  We hope you both enjoy the photos!

Tim and Amanda engadged!

Sarah and I had a great time photographing and hanging out with Tim and Amanda for their Engagement pictures. They live on a hobby farm in Horicon right near the marsh. The fall colors were amazing as you can see in the pictures.

These 2 love nature the outdoors and animals. There were several barns and outbuildings for us to explore and experiment with the warm late afternoon sunlight. Amanda, being an enthusiast photographer herself, had some great ideas for shots… actually they both did. Rickety old piers, tree lined paths, open fields at sunset were just a few of the neat spots we visited during the shoot. Thanks Tim and Amanda for a great time in Horicon – we are excited to hang with you at the wedding next August!!

ps – If you’ve never seen the Horicon Marsh go check it out – it’s worth the trip. The landscape is like nowhere else i’ve been. It’s very primal, untouched… peaceful.

Becky & Bret Engadged – Grant Park – South Milwuakee

Becky an Bret met because of a shared love of VW cars. They currently own 4 including a car that has won in competitive shows. It was a perfect fall day on Milwaukee’s lakefront; the leaves were turning brilliant colors and than the sun was warm and bright.

They arrived dressed in casual + sweet attire. We began exploring the park trails, chatting and snapping shots as we went. There are all kinds of bridges that crisscross a meandering stream. Finally we arrived at the beach where the wind had kicked up some nice waves. We wanted to get some shots on the Jetty, but, the waves were splashing water up across – a bit wet and slick. Not a problem, apparently, as Becky and Bret promptly removed their shoes and headed out. Well, we got some great shots and headed back through the woods to the car lot. I had spotted an old train station turned farmers market earlier in the day so I suggested we’d head over for a few “urban” type shot. When we arrived Becky and Bret had changed… gone was casual and sweet… now came the leather boots and plaid skirt. They both looked great and had a blast moving around the building and onto the train tracks. Thanks for the great times guys – we’ll see you in just a few weeks!!
